At Thrive Community Transitional Services, we believe meaningful community participation is an essential part of independent living. Our Community Engagement program provides opportunities for young adults to build confidence, develop social skills, and practice independence in real-world settings.

Participants engage in structured, supervised experiences that encourage them to become active members of their communities while developing lifelong skills.

Community activities may include:

• Grocery shopping and budgeting
• Dining etiquette at restaurants
• Using public transportation
• Banking and financial literacy practice
• Volunteer opportunities
• Recreation and fitness activities
• Community events and cultural experiences
• Visiting libraries, museums, and local businesses
• Building friendships and social communication skills

Our goal is to help participants feel comfortable navigating their communities while developing greater independence, self-confidence, and meaningful relationships.
